For Chile’s iconic Viña del Mar Festival, we brought to life “El Monstruo” — the legendary audience known for its merciless judgment of performers. This shot didn’t exist in reality, so we built it from the ground up using AI-generated environments and a sophisticated CG crowd system. The creature itself is composed of thousands of animated festival attendees distributed across rigged base geometry, each person moving independently to create a living, breathing entity. The challenge was giving personality to this mass — making it charismatic rather than menacing, capturing the playful spirit behind the festival’s notorious tough crowd. The result is a memorable visual metaphor where collective judgment becomes a sympathetic, larger-than-life character.
